themes

I think themes are important to get right to the point. To explain what the story is going to be about. Understanding themes are important because then you get an idea of what the topic is going to be talking about. If you don't understand you probably wont get the story. Themes occur everywhere, in presentations, conversations, essays, etc.

A theme that was meaningful to me, was the theme of Speak. To always speak up for yourself, and be yourself, don't try to fit in.

Themes have important meanings..

another reading thing..,

Some low lights of my reading this year, were probably just the reading journals.
I find it hard to actually stick to one book. especially if it's limited time to read, and if the book doesn't interest me for long.

Some high lights about the articles I've read were for fun, and i found vocabulary cards for English.

When we were doing the Speak project, i searched some lyrics up, and it was pretty sweet, and inspirational some how.

I read some billboards, and it's cool i can read.
if only i can read in like Spanish, or Chinese.

book thing..

My independent reading book, is called Crash. I enjoy reading it, it was actually my third choice. The first two books i attempted to read, didn't really interest me. What caught my attention about Crash, was the suspense. The other two books i was about to read were about dogs, and money, two things that i would not want to read as my independent book. Crash is about a popular kid picking on this kind of a geek boy, which is his neighbor. In the end he probably has to realize that making the geek's life miserable is not very nice. Since i have a prediction I'll be excited and eager to finish the book, to see the outcome.
